The volleyball team was on the road again for yet another Region IX conference game as they traveled to McCook, NE. The Plainswomen have yet to have a conference matchup early in the week, so it was going to be interesting to see how they would react. As warmups concluded, it was apparent that it was not going to be a problem for them.
The first set the girls were able to battle and pull away at the end and get the 25-22 victory. The team did not want to let the game drag out, so they knew they needed to get set two. In the second set, the ladies played strong and defeated them once again with a score of 25-21. Having two sets on McCook going into intermission, they knew that the Indians could come with energy and steal set three from them.
After the break, the Plainswomen headed into set three with confidence. Although McCook gave a valiant effort, the Plainswomen still stood victorious by defeating them 25-23.
The women will host nationally ranked Western Nebraska on Thursday October 12 at 7:00 pm.
