Feb. 7, 2019, Sterling, Colo. — Plainswomen volleyball player, Sara Antic, has signed her National Letter of Intent to play for the University of North Dakota Fighting Hawks. The University of North Dakota is an NCAA Division 1 and located in Grand Forks, N.D. The Fighting Hawks are members in the Summit League and play schools like North Dakota State University, University of Omaha, and Denver University to name a few.

During her time as a Plainswomen, Antic accumulated numerous awards and helped lead her team to the national tournament. In just two years, she was named All Region IX team twice, All Tournament team twice, Region IX player of the year, Region IX top freshman, and an NJCAA All-American. Her stats speak for herself on how she earned those honors as she accumulated 797 kills, 556 digs, and 921 points.

University of North Dakota's head coach, Mark Pryor, spoke highly of Antic when asked about her signing. "Sara provides a lot of versatility for our program. We love the fact that she brings our program a level of experience that will really help us. We have had some good success with junior college players coming here and being able to contribute and flourish. Sara will definitely be able to carry on that tradition. Sara can be that multi-tool player that can help us both offensively and defensively."

Antic is the first of four sophomores that will sign on to play at four-year universities.
