Apr. 3, 2019, Sterling, Colo. — The Northeastern volleyball team recently signed Christina Pettigrew to play in the 2019 season. Pettigrew played middle and outside hitter for her high school, Copperas Cove High School in Copperas Cove, Tex.
As a prep for the Bulldawgs, she accumulated 296 kills with a 46.5 kill percentage. Defensively, she totaled 364 blocks with 207 of them being solo blocks. When asked about her signing, Pettigrew said, "Not only do I like what Coach Squier can offer athletically, considering her coaching experience, I feel like she can guide me educationally. I am a first-generation college student so this is very new to me and can be overwhelming."
The Plainswomen look to continue with their success from last season as they look to defend their Region IX Championship.
Pettigrew finished with, "I trust Coach Squier to guide me to success."
