Northeastern Baseball Falls In A Tightly Fought Battle With Salt Lake Community College 4-2

Northeastern fell 4-2 to Salt Lake on Saturday despite out-hitting them seven to six. DDC Player of the Game, Riley Suarez led Northeastern with two hits.

The Bruins opened the scoring in the second after Kaden Hodson homered to right field, scoring two runs.

A sacrifice fly by Gage Wareham extended the Salt Lake lead to 3-0 in the bottom of the third inning.

Callum Baron took the loss for Northeastern. The starter went five and one-third innings, surrendering four runs (three earned) on three hits, striking out three and walking two. Colby Chambers began the game for Salt Lake. The starter allowed five hits and one run over four innings, striking out five and walking one.

Brayden Stufft and Eastin Hubbard were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in one run for Northeastern. Nate Glad stole two bases. The Plainsmen stole four bases in the game.
