For The Third Consecutive Game, Northeastern Baseball Walks-Off Southeast Community College, This Time 10-9 in the Bottom of The 12th Inning

It came down to the wire on Saturday, as Northeastern grabbed the victory in walk-off fashion, 10-9, over Southeast. The game was tied at nine in the bottom of the twelfth when DDC Player of the Game, George Greene doubled, scoring one run.

Greene hit for the cycle in the victory. The cleanup hitter went 5-7 in the game. Greene hit a home run to left field in the third inning, tripled in the seventh inning, doubled in the twelfth inning, and singled in the second inning.

The Bobcats jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Kadyn Martinez homered to center field, scoring two runs, and Burke Jasa singled, scoring one run.

Greene homered to left field, which helped Northeastern tie the game at three in the bottom of the third.

A ground out by Martinez gave the Bobcats the lead, 4-3, in the top of the fourth.

The Plainsmen jumped into the lead in the bottom of the eighth when Tavish Dey singled, scoring one run, and Riley Suarez doubled, scoring two runs.

Jack Hogan flew out, which helped Southeast tied the game at nine in the top of the ninth.

Evan Lamunyon earned the win for Northeastern. The pitcher allowed zero hits and zero runs over one inning, striking out one and walking none. Jordan Monroe took the loss for Southeast. The reliever went one and two-thirds innings, giving up one run on three hits, striking out two and walking one. Jan Raunigger stepped on the bump first for Northeastern. The righty gave up four hits and three runs over one and one-third innings, striking out three and walking one. Van Haneberg started on the bump for the Bobcats. The starting pitcher surrendered six hits and three runs over six innings, striking out six and walking two. Austin Reese, Gavin Lamont, and Logan Steckel each appeared in relief for Northeastern.

Northeastern tallied 17 hits in the game. Dey, Suarez, Aniel Del Orbe, and Brayden Stufft each collected multiple hits for the Plainsmen. Northeastern ran wild on the base paths, accumulating four stolen bases for the game. The Plainsmen turned one double play in the game.

The Plainsmen will be back in action again on Thursday April 2nd, as they travel to McCook, Nebraska to take on the Indians at 12:00 PM MDT.
