Northeastern Men's Golf Competes At West District Golf Tournament, Sophomore Ryan Ewoniuk and Freshman Bodhi Jacob Punched Their Tickets To The National Golf Tournament
The Northeastern Men's Golf Team competed at the West District Golf Tournament this past Thursday and Friday at The Olde Course in Loveland, Colorado. After a grueling first day of 36 holes and blistering wind throughout the day, two of the Plainsmen golfers were able to punch their tickets to compete at the National Golf Tournament in Newton, Kanses in the second week of May. Sophomore Ryan Ewoniuk shot round scores of 76, 73 and 70 to shoot +3, which tied him for third in the tournament. Freshman Bodhi Jacob shot rounds of 76, 74 and 72 to finish +6, which tied him for seventh in the tournament. Sophomore Tyler Miller had rounds of 76, 77 and 78 to finish tied for 14th. Kasen McNeilly had rounds of 83, 79 and 82 to finish +28 and finish tied for 25th. Freshman Tadese Keyworth had rounds of 77, 82 and did not compete in the final round. Sophomore Diego Mondragon only played the final round and shot an 85. The team finished in fourth place after shooting a total of 910 over the three rounds.
