Northeastern Softball Falls To McCook Community College In First Game of a Sunday Double Header
Northeastern Softball could get the bats rolling in the first game of a double header against McCook Community College, as they fell 10-2 in the contest. Maddie Cline was named the DDC Player of the Contest. Cline came in in relief and threw 3.2 innings, giving up 5 runs (one earned) on 7 hits. Cline was also able to collect one hit and drive in one run in the contest.
McCook opened the game up with scoring in the bottom of the first inning, thanks to two home runs. An error extended the lead to 6-0 in the bottom of the second for the Indians. Reagan Fehringer started in the circle for the Plainswomen. Fehringer went .1 innings, giving up 5 earned runs on 5 hits. Reina Roberts, Kelsi Jurczewsky, Blayke Duncan and Cline each collected one hit for Northeastern.
