Northeastern Softball Bats Were On Fire As They Take Down North Platte Community College 15-0

Northeastern Softball's bats were on fire Wednesday, as they took down North Platte Community College 15-0. Addison Steele was named the DDC Player of the Game. Steele went 2-3 at the plate, hitting two doubles, drawing one walk, scored three runs and drove in four runs.

The Plainswomen were able to score 9 runs in the top of the second inning to help seal the deal. Reina Roberts grounded out, scoring one run, Regan Fehringer doubled, scoring one run, Tatiana Hunt drew a walk, scoring one run, Kelsi Jurczewsky was struck by a pitch, scoring one run, Steele doubled, scoring three runs, Isabelle Bencivenga doubled, scoring one run and Roberts singled, scoring one run. Northeastern added 5 more runs in the top of the third inning on 6 hits. Blayke Duncan homered to left field, scoring two runs Mickeayla Llamas hit a solo home run to left field, Steele doubled, scoring one run and Roberts doubled, scoring one run. 

Reagan Fehringer started in the circle for Northeastern and ended up earning the win. Fehringer threw three innings, giving up three hits, walked one batter and struck out 6 batters. Mackenzie Bowie threw two innings of relief, giving up one hit and striking out three batters. Northeastern collected 14 hits in the contest. Steele led the team with four runs batted in. Roberts, Bencivenga and Steele each had two hits in the game. Hunt paced the team with three walks.
