Northeastern Softball Ends Up On The Wrong End Of The Win-Loss Column To Western Nebraska Community College in Game Two
Northeastern Softball falls to Western Nebraska Community College 9-1 in the second game of the Friday double header. Mikeayla Llamas was named the DDC Player of the Contest. Llamas went 3-3 at the plate, gathering one double and scoring on run in the contest.
The Plainswomen opened up the scoring in the top of the first after Llamas scored after tagging up. WNCC was able to score 9 unanswered runs over the next 5 innings. Mackenzie Bowie started the game for Northeastern and ended up taking the loss. Bowie threw four innings, giving up 9 runs (four earned) on 8 hits, walking four batters and striking out one. Kelsi Jurzcwesky led the Plainswomen with one run batted in. Isabelle Bencivenga collected two hits in the contest. The Plainswomen were able to steal three bases in the game.
