Northeastern Softball Drops Game Three To Otero College
Northeastern Softball fell in Game three to Otero College 15-3 on Thursday. Tatiana Hunt was named the DDC Player of the Contest. Hunt went 2-2 at the plate, hitting one home run, got hit by a pitch, stole one base, scored two runs and drove in two runs.
The Plainswomen were the first to get on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Hunt singled to center field and Isabelle Bencivenga walked, each scoring one run. Hunt hit a solo home run to center field in the bottom of the fifth inning.
Mackenzie Bowie started in the circle for Northeastern and ended up with the loss. Bowie threw 2.2 innings, giving up 10 unearned runs on 8 hits and walked one batter. Maddie Cline threw 2.1 innings, giving up 5 earned runs on 6 hits and walked one batter.
