Bio

Marci Henry is a nationally recognized volleyball coach and administrator with more than two decades of leadership at the collegiate level. She began her career as head coach of the Northeastern Junior College Plainswomen volleyball program in 1999, leading teams to Region IX championships, NJCAA National Tournament appearances, and numerous All-American, All-Region, and academic honors. Her 2003 squad captured the Region IX Championship and placed 11th nationally, reflecting her commitment to competitive excellence and holistic student-athlete development. She was named to the NJCAA Volleyball Coaches Hall of Fame in 2014.

Henry transitioned into athletic administration in 2010, serving as Athletic Director at Northeastern Junior College, where she expanded the athletic department and helped position the institution as a leader within the NJCAA. Prior to retiring from the Athletic Director role, she successfully added beach volleyball as a varsity sport, laying the foundation for the program’s long-term success.

At the national level, Henry has been deeply involved in NJCAA leadership, serving on the NJCAA Board of Directors, as NJCAA Senior Women’s Administrator, and in multiple executive roles. Since 2021, she has served as the NJCAA National Beach Volleyball Chair and played a key role in organizing and launching the first-ever NJCAA Beach Volleyball National Championships.

A member of the NJCAA Volleyball Coaches Association Hall of Fame, Henry is also a recipient of the George E. Kilian Award of Excellence, the Mary Ellen Leicht Service Award, and multiple NACDA Under Armour Athletic Director of the Year honors.

Now returning fully to coaching, Henry is proud to be named the first-ever Head Beach Volleyball Coach at Northeastern Junior College and is excited to continue growing the sport of beach volleyball while mentoring the next generation of student-athletes.
