Northeastern Softball Drops First Game To #25 McCook Community College 6-2
Northeastern fell to McCook Community College 6-2 on Friday at Sterling.
The Indians got on the board in the third inning after Josie Wright singled, scoring one run.
Marisa Reyes started the game for Northeastern. The righty allowed nine hits and six runs (two earned) over four and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking one. Paige Warren started the game for Mcook. The starter allowed six hits and two runs (one earned) over seven innings, striking out 10 and walking two.
DDC Player of the Game, Brodie Wilcoxen and Reyes were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in one run for Northeastern. Mikeayla Llamas led the Plainswomen with two hits in four at bats.
