Northeastern Softball Celebrates Sophomore Day With a Series Sweep over Luna Community College, Winning Game 4 14-6. They Also Had The Best Home Record In Program History, Going 22-2 at Mason Field

Northeastern Softball wins their 14th game in a row, as they take down the Luna Rough Riders 14-6 in game four of the home season series finale. It was great way to celebrate Sophomore day, as the Plainswomens bats were on fire to end out the weekend. 

Northeastern gathered 13 hits in the final contest and put up 14 runs in the game. DDC Player of the Game, Kelsi Jurczewsky led the way, knocking two runs, scoring one run, obtaining one walk and stole two bases. Every hitter that saw the field for the Plainswomen were able to get one atleast one hit in the contest. Brodie Wilcoxen had the only extra base hit on the day. America Griffin, Addison Steele, Hallie Waldron, Mickeayla Llamas and Marisa Reyes each stole one base in the contest. 

Brooklyn McNeil started in the circle for Northeastern. The righty threw all 6 innings, giving up 10 hits, 6 runs (5 earned), walked two batters and struck out 5 in the win. 

The Plainswomen will be on the road next Saturday and Sunday, as they head to Trinidad to face the Trojans. They will have a four game road series starting on Saturday at 12:30 PM.
