Northeastern Softball Falls To Southeast Community College In Game 1 of the Four Game Road Series 2-0
Both teams were strong in the circle on Saturday, but Southeast was just a little bit stronger at the plate in their 2-0 victory over Northeastern. DDC Player of the Game, Brook McNeil started the game for Northeastern and recorded 18 outs.
Southeast got on the board in the bottom of the fifth inning after Tatum Heimerman singled to left field, and Lexi Paskach doubled down the left field line, each scoring one run.
McNeil started the game for Northeastern. The starting pitcher surrendered four hits and two runs (zero earned) over six innings, striking out two and walking none. Kinsley Mohan started in the circle for Southeast. The hurler allowed one hit and zero runs over seven innings, striking out nine and walking two.
Tati Hunt went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead Northeastern in hits.
