#5 Northeastern Volleyball Takes Down Foe Western Nebraska Community College In 4 Sets

In an exciting conference match held on September 23, 2025, the Northeastern Junior College Plainswomen claimed a significant victory over the Western Nebraska Community College Cougars, winning with a final score of NJC 3- WNCC 1.

The game commenced energetically, with both teams displaying competitive spirit. During the first set, the Plainswomen edged out the Cougars with a tight score of 25-23. The momentum continued into the second set, where NJC expanded their lead decisively, achieving a 25-15 win. However, in a turnaround during the third set, the Cougars fought back, claiming the set 25-19. Undeterred, Northeastern Junior College regained control in the fourth set and decisively defeated WNCC 25-14 to clinch the match.

Kiera Heavan LOE was a standout performer, earning the DDC Player of the Match title. Her robust presence at the net and crucial contributions in the back row proved pivotal for the Plainswomen's success.
