#5 Northeastern Volleyball Takes Down North Platte Community College in a Clean Sweep on Sophomore Day

In a striking conference volleyball match held on October 11, 2025, at the Bank of Colorado Event Center in Sterling, CO, the Northeastern Junior College Plainswomen secured a decisive win against the North Platte Community College Knights. The final result was NJC 3, NPCC 0, in which Northeastern showcased their skill and teamwork consistently across all sets.

The match started strong for the Plainswomen, who took an early lead in the first set with a score of 25-19. The momentum didn't waver as they dominated the second set, with an overwhelming score of 25-7, highlighted by Stella Carrer's impressive 16 point serve run early in the set. The third set mirrored the intensity of the previous ones, with NJC closing it remarkably at 25-8.

Key player Kiera Heaven LOE led the team with a total of 11 kills, contributing significantly to the team's overall success. In addition, Stella Carrer's performance was pivotal not only for her aces, tallying up to five, but also for earning her the designation of DDC player of the match due to her exceptional play and strategic serves.

Looking ahead, the Plainsmen/Plainswomen are preparing for their upcoming game on October 14, 2025, against Lamar Community College at their ground. With a current record of 23 wins against 3 losses, NJC's volleyball team is demonstrating a strong season and aims to continue their winning streak.
